Final Report of the California Broadband Task Force Released
The Governor's Broadband Task Force has released its final report "The State of Connectivity: Building Innovation Through Broadband," which analyzes current broadband availability and adoption and proposes a plan to remove barriers to broadband access and use.
Maps of Broadband Access and Available Speeds in California
The Broadband Task Force has created the first detailed maps of broadband availability and speeds in California. California is the largest state to have mapped broadband availability and the first to have mapped speeds.

Fiber Collaboration Database
The Fiber Collaboration Database allows broadband providers to view upcoming construction projects, notify Caltrans of their interest in including broadband infrastructure in the project, and provides an opportunity for collaboration among companies interested in joint trenching opportunities.
Broadband Best Practices Summit
The Broadband Best Practices Summit was held on June 29, 2007 in San Jose, CA. Over 160 California stakeholders had the opportunity to hear representatives from 12 other states discuss broadband availability and adoption.
